Many local businesses are missing out on customers due to the lack of internet presence, even in today’s age there are still thousands of companies that don’t have websites or have a site but never update it or market it. The internet has brought about a change in how customers find products and services, with a shift to online sales increasing daily.

Even local services unique to a town or city are being sought through such avenues as Search Engines like Google. Many people are going online and typing “Plumber Manchester” for example and looking through the listing provided and rating that company on what is found. You website and the other listing that are on the internet are your virtual shop front and they need to be right.

Potential customers are now looking for local firms websites to evaluate the company before they contact them for a quote. They are looking at things like previous work (especially pictures), customer reviews and testimonials, professional looking site and company, maybe some background information on the company or qualifications and certification or maybe they are simply after contacting you.

If your online presence isn’t in front of the potential customer and presented in the correct manor then you are certainly missing out on a potential sale or lead. Many options exist today for improving your search engine ranking or even building you a website from scratch. But without a strategy and an idea of what’s being offered by the consultant or web design firm it’s very easy to get lost and end up out of pocket and no better website.
